Royal Wire has people working in the customer service department that know horses and know the general basics of running barns, going to race tracks and horse shows. So if a customer has a questions, call. That's what we are here for. After 20 some years experience we have heard it all.
The design of our horse products is first for durability then for easy storage and hauling. Putting those three together is hard to do. For strength to be present in our products we try to design most items in one-piece construction. The reason being, the more parts to an item the less sturdy that item becomes.
A few examples of this are our rolling basket, rolling dolly, 3-tier grooming cart, manure bucket dolly, and stall gates. Now I know these items are our best sellers and I know why. The quality is there. We try very hard to make all items user friendly.
Now the pit fall to our commitment with our one-piece construction is the shipping cost. All the above items must ship UPS over size two (except the stall gates must ship motor freight). Which means higher cost to the customer. We want it to be known that we do not charge a handling fee. Just what UPS or the motor Freight Company charges us is what we charge our customers. We know how upsetting it is when the shipping cost are more than the product you want to purchase. This is a major concern for us at Royal Wire. We try everything to help keep shipping cost down with out compromising our commitment to quality.
All products in the equine line are made from basic steel wire ranging in sizes of .120 to .375 in diameter. When we use tubing it is one inch be it round or square. The finish on most on the products is zinc plating. We find that the zinc plating seems to hold up better in the horse show environment especially if the products the customer buys get hauled around from one horse show to the next. The zinc plating will not chip during those rough trailer rides. Now we do offer a few items in black epoxy. We did this to achieve a more contemporary look for the barns. Our newer style 52"x 36" yoke gate and our 52" x 40" full screen stall gate come that way. It's just another option for customers. The black epoxy finish seems to hold up fine on the stall gates. But please remember that the stall gates are not on the road as much as the items meant for the horse shows.
Both finishes zinc plating and epoxy are for rust resistance. Our products are not rust proof. I would love to make them that way and I can out of stainless steel but the consumer needs to be willing to pay more for stainless steel material.
Please be aware that there are several competitors that copy our product design exactly and try to sell their attempt of a copy as "Royal Wire". The difference between Royal Wire and the knockoffs: first we are the original manufacture of the equine wire storage systems. We have many more years of experience. Second we take great pride in what we do at Royal Wire. We are part of the horse industry. We show, race and participate with horsemen on a one on one bases everyday. We are not just out there selling product to the industry and leaving. I look at it this way, I work hard and when I get to go show my horse on the weekend I want to have fun. I don't want my fellow horsemen hunting me down at a show complaining about my products. Would you? That's why we do it our way at Royal Wire. The Right Way!
